The south of Iceland is full of surprises at every step. Here you can experience grown plains at one step whereas the next step would be a hike on a mountain and similarly, one step at a fiery volcano and the next on icy glacier.
We start our journey as we pick you from your respective hotels and then proceed further to our destinations for the day.
One of the stops of this tour would be the beautiful waterfalls of Skógafoss, where water falls into the stream at about 60 m, and you can take a walk to Seljalandsfoss, through to the other side. These unbelievable waterfalls get their origins from the Eyjafjallajokull glacier.
Another stop would be Reynisfjara, or Black Sand Beach where you would explore the North Atlantic and experience the amazingly shaped basalt column cliffs. This area is indeed a beautiful place to visit in the South of Iceland but it is dangerous too because of the rock formations so you must be careful when you visit. During summer, there is a possibility of puffins to be seen on cliff tops.
On our way back, we stop buy Vik village, which holds great cultural importance in Iceland. There you can have your lunch and take a look around the wool factory.
Further, we walk up to the icy glaciers of Sólheimajökull, a sublet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull where you can admire the behavior of Icelandic glaciers; their formation and rapid melting.
