Venturing south of the Iceland’s capitol, Reykjavík, you will come across Iceland’s iconic natural phenomena! Iceland’s lava tubes are one of it’s magnificent features! Cave enthusiasts from all over the world travel to gaze upon these spectacular marvels of nature. These tubes, formed by volcanic eruptions many eons ago are a true testament to Iceland’s unique geological landscape. Snow blocks the entryways to these cases for most of the year but during the month of July, the snow clears allowing enthusiasts to embark on their caving adventures! The cleared snow allowing caving lovers to crawl around in this underground kingdom.

Most of Iceland’s most bedazzling hikes are accessible during the mild summer months. This makes July one of the rarest opportunities to explore Iceland’s most breathtaking views. One hike that we recommend to almost all of our clients is the hike to Glymur waterfall, located just an hour outside of Reykjavik. You can embark on a fascinating hike whilst also absorbing famous lores and legends of the place.
